It's not every day more than a couple of fans wish an ex-Denver Broncos analyst was right about something.Adam Schefter, who reported for the Denver Post for 15 years, stated on Thursday that Raiders owner Al Davis is planning on firing head coach Art Shell at season's end. the NFL Network, Schefter followed up by hinting that current defensive coordinator Rob Ryan would likely take Shell's place when released.In 1999, the analyst worked with current Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan on a book entitled, "Think Like a Champion: Building Success One Victory at a Time." Also, three years earlier, he began working with former Broncos running back Terrell Davis on a similar book, called "TD: Dreams in Motion."Al Davis wasn't impressed with either; chances are he isn't too fond of anything Schefter puts his time into.Just hours after the report was publicized, the Raiders organization released a statement claiming it to be false, attacking Schefter along the way."Adam Schefter has always been a false rumor monger with respect to the Raiders and anti-Raider based upon his relationship with Denver and Mike Shanahan," the announcement read.The statement was referring to the same NFL analyst who, just two days earlier, included two Raiders -- Warren Sapp and Nnamdi Asomugha -- on his "Pro Bowl snubs: The best of the rest" list.The "false rumor monger" also was the first to break the news when the team agreed to a five-year contract with rookie safety Michael Huff, when fourth-rounder Darnell Bing was moved from safety to linebacker, and when Aaron Brooks won the starting quarterback job from Andrew Walter."No decisions have been made relative to the 2007 nor will they be made for some time," the statement also read.
