Fergie has no regrets as he recalls Rooney

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has no regrets about leaving Wayne Rooney out of his team to face Everton and has recalled the striker for Tuesday night's Champions League match against Rangers.
Rooney was surprisingly omitted from the squad for Saturday's 3-3 draw at Goodison following a week of nfl jersey
being splashed across the newspapers because of lurid allegations regarding his private life.
Ferguson claimed he wanted to spare Rooney from "terrible abuse" against his former club but Everton manager David Moyes believes United wanted to make an example of the 24-year-old.
However, Ferguson has maintained his decision was based on protecting his star striker and is happy he made the right decision, despite failing to take three points.
Ferguson: "I left him out for the reasons I told you on Saturday and I am not going beyond that. I told you what the reasons were for why he was left out and I am not entertaining any of Minnesota Vikings jersey
that nonsense [about punishment].
"No regrets. I did the right thing." Ferguson added. "And I have no concerns about playing him tomorrow at all. I don't know if tomorrow will inspire him. He has a lot of experience behind him. But I do know scoring for England last week will have given him a boost.''
Although Ferguson seems to be standing by the striker publicly, Moyes believes his fellow Scot is privately furious and sent out a message that no one is bigger than the club by dropping the England international at the weekend.
Rooney has been a figure of hate at Everton ever since he left to join United in a £25 million deal in 2004 but has never been spared the vitriol of the Toffees' fans before.
And Moyes offered a hint about the mindset of Indianapolis Colts jersey
fellow manager Ferguson. "I don't think you should put it all on the crowd," said the Everton manager.
"The manager there knows what he's doing and I'm sure he did what he thought was right. Maybe he was just making sure everybody realises that if you play for Manchester United you have to conduct yourself in a certain manner."
